How To Connect KuCoin With Kryptoskatt Using API
On KuCoin :
- Log into your KuCoin account
- Click on your account icon where either your phone digits or email initials are displayed
- Click on API Management
- Press the green button Create API
- Configure your API Name and API Passphrase (Password), then select the function and IP restrictions
- Make sure that only General permission is checked
- Also, make sure that the IP Restriction is set to No
- You will be shown your newly generated API key and secret. Make sure to copy and save them in a secure place, as they will not be shown again.
On Kryptoskatt :
- Go to kryptoskatt.com & signup using your Google account.
- From the menu, click on Add Wallets/Exchanges. Go to the Wallets/Exchanges page.
- Search for KuCoin or select it from the list below.
- Now, click on the KuCoin icon.
- Choose Import using API Keys.
- Paste your API Key & API Secret.
- Click on Import Your Transactions. All transactions are directly imported and tagged by default.
- If you wish to import custom history, select Advanced Options. Now you can specify the start and end date of your transaction history.
How To Connect KuCoin With Kryptoskatt Using CSV
On KuCoin :
- Log in to your KuCoin account.
- Click on your account icon on the top right corner, and select the Page icon.
- In the drop-down menu, select Spot Trade History.
- Click on Export History button.
- Select ALL under export & choose your Time Frame.
- Click on the Confirm.
- Once KuCoin is done processing, click on Download.
- This will save the CSV file to your Downloads folder by default.
On Kryptoskatt :
- Go to kryptoskatt.com & signup using your Google account.
- From the menu, click on Add Wallets/Exchanges. Go to the Wallets/Exchanges page.
- Search for KuCoin or select it from the list below.
- Now, click on the KuCoin icon.
- Choose Upload CSV & choose the trade history CSV you wish to generate the tax report for (margin, spot, or futures)
- Click on Import Your Transactions. All transactions are imported and tagged by default.
- If you wish to import custom history, select Advanced Options. Now you can specify the start and end date of your transaction history.
How are KuCoin transactions taxed?
The crypto tax laws may vary depending on the country you reside in and other factors such as your filing status, income bracket, and marital status. But, in general, there are mainly two types of taxes applicable to KuCoin transactions.
- Income Tax- If you are earning rewards (e.g. through lending or staking) or maybe receiving, you may need to pay income tax.

- When importing a CSV file, match your KuCoin account Time Zone in the Kryptoskatt import form.
- While creating a new key, make the API key read-only.
- Keep your API Key and API Secret somewhere safe, preferably offline.
